Amy is the Partner-in-Charge of DZH Phillips’ Tax department. She has 26 years of experience in public accounting, providing tax services for high net-worth individuals and their closely held businesses, trusts, estates and exempt organizations. Her clients include venture capitalists, private equity partners, entrepreneurs and founders, corporate executives and closely held business owners. Her experience includes assisting clients with stock-option planning, tax minimization strategies for asset diversification of highly concentrated positions, estate and trust planning, charitable giving strategies as well as tax controversy issues.

Prior to the formation of DZH Phillips, she was a partner at one of its predecessor firms, Daoro Zydel & Holland. Before joining the firm, Amy held the position of Senior Tax Manager at a national accounting firm. She received her Bachelor of Science degree from San Jose State University. She is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the California Society of Certified Public Accountants (CalCPA), the San Francisco Tax Club and a board member of the San Francisco Estate Planning Council.

She and her team work closely with clients to provide proactive planning and her attention to detail ensures consistently high quality work. Amy has been described as “caring too much,” as she invests the time and energy into developing lasting and supportive relationships. Although a Midwest girl at heart, Amy enjoys all that the San Francisco Bay Area has to offer.  When she’s not in the office, you might find Amy traveling with her family, cooking healthful-inspired dishes, tending to her prolific garden or attending fitness classes.
