He has 20 years of experience working with businesses and high-net-worth individuals in the Bay Area, including closely held business owners, real estate owners and investors and their families, with a professional background in audit and tax work at various CPA firms in San Francisco and the East Bay.
Before joining DZH Phillips, he held the position of controller and interim CFO at a start-up company, where he was responsible for overseeing accounting software implementation. Bruce is a gifted problem solver who invests time in getting to know his clients personally and researching their issues thoroughly. He makes it a priority to build relationships based on trust, and seeks outcomes that deliver the highest degree of benefit for his clients. Central to developing these relationships is Bruce’s mission to reduce taxation and increase simplification, and his abilities to communicate complex tax law clearly, to solve problems efficiently and to work with clients empathetically and personably. When weather permits, Bruce might be found running, mountain biking or expressing his inner oenophile as a member of the Golden Gate Wine Society.
