Bio

With nearly 20 years of experience, Larisa has served middle-market privately held companies in a variety of industries.  She leads several of the firm’s assurance practice groups, including consumer goods and construction. Her areas of expertise include accounting and financial reporting, internal controls and fraud risk assessments, agreed-upon procedures, acquisitions and consolidations. She assists clients with audits, reviews and accounting matters such as share-based payments, revenue recognition, software capitalization, equity transactions, debt restructuring and recapitalization.

Before joining DZH Phillips, Larisa worked with one of its predecessor firms, Smith, Lange and Phillips. Prior to joining SLP, Larisa earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics with an accounting emphasis from Ben Gurion University of Negev, Israel, and a Master of Business Administration degree in finance with high honors at Golden Gate University. She spent four years working as an auditor in two Israeli firms before moving to the United States. An active member of the industry and community, Larisa is an active member of the ProVisors group. She is a Certified Public Accountant and also maintains associations with the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the California Society of Certified Public Accountants (CalCPA), and the California Israel Chamber of Commerce. Larisa also has guest presented entrepreneurship classes at the HAAS School of Business at UC Berkeley.

Larisa’s education and experience in business equips her to develop creative and innovative solutions for privately held business clients as a critical asset to DZH Phillips’ auditing and accounting teams. Larisa helps clients take worthwhile risks with empathy and an understanding of what each client’s business needs to thrive. Not surprisingly, her ideal clients include growing companies with revenues ranging from $10M to $300M, whose owners and management want to focus on expanding and sustaining healthy business through strategic planning, while bringing in experts to aid day-to-day business and help with strategic planning. She enjoys travelling with her family, speaks English, Hebrew and Russian, and holds CPA licenses in California, Delaware and Israel.
